QEWC 600 MW Power Plant

Construction of all the civil works related to the 600 MW power plant in Ras Abu Fontas B2 was executed on a sub-contract basis with General Electric International of the USA.

The project consisted mainly of the following:
• construction of three gas turbine foundations
• CTG building foundation
• underground duct banks and drains
• Diesel Generator building and equipment foundations
• electrical building and equipment foundations
• GIS extension building and equipment foundations
• gas station foundations and road works.

Continuous monolithic pours of about 750 m3 were achieved on this project.
