Located at Jubail Industrial city, eastern region of Saudi Arabia, the project was executed in joint venture with Dywidag Saudi Arabia.
The work consisted of building a water cooling tower of a cone shape with a full height of 51 m and a diameter at base of 72 m, including an inlet box for hot water, an outlet box for cold water and a pump station for water recycling.
Hot water is guided to the center of the tower through concrete ducts and risers.
The mechanical scope of work also involved the construction of an FRP (fiber reinforced polyester) structure inside the tower to support the 1.5 m high cooling fill. Equal distribution of hot water over the total area of the cooling fill was made possible through more than 3000 nozzles mounted on PVC pipes.
